parties are under way. >> loss of purple pride. there are a few brave patriot fans sprinkled in. it is standing room only. i talked to the manager on duty. he said the first fans started showing up at 11:00 this morning to get a seat. we talked to people with tables. they said they were here at 1:00 in the afternoon. people have been staking out their claims early. one fan drove down from connecticut to be here in baltimore for the game. here is a little bit about what the feeling is today. >> everyone is nervous but excited. we are preparing and getting ready. i knew i had to come here to watch the game. i needed to be in baltimore. >> we did talk to a baltimore city police spokesman. they are expecting big crowds

tonight. there are extra patrols. and there are a lot of ravens fans up north today. we will send it up to gillette stadium where jennifer joins us live. >> the purple nation is well- represented. i spent time working my way around the stands. there is purple all over the stadium. these fans are fired up. they are ready to do everything they can to push the team along. earlier, we found a ravens nation partying. they travel wherever the team goes pushing their purple pride on the team and field to make sure that he knows they are here. they are excited. we spoke to new england fans carrying signs about ray lewis

>> a man was killed on the mount this weekend. officials say james parker died in an accident saturday morning when he lost control while skiing and ran into trees. he was pronounced dead at the

hospital. police have arrested a suspect in connection with the saturday morning homicide. the texas have charged the 40's -- detectives have charged a 47- year-old in the death of davis. the responded to a call for aggravated assault. that is where they found davis suffering from stab wounds. she died from her injuries. investigators say they apparently knew each other and have been arguing before the stabbing. >> of the crows are growing. the marching bands are turning up for the inauguration day. -- the crowds are growing. tomorrow is the second inauguration of president obama. >> his second term is already officially underway. steve has the latest on the pop and procedure. >> just before noon, president obama was sworn in for a term

>> it was a sunday morning of celebration for one baltimore church. it marked its 150th anniversary. it is the oldest african- american catholic church in america. the archbishop was on hand to take part in the celebration. the church leaders say the anniversary marks the beginning of a yearlong schedule of events designed to uplift the faith community. >> we're going to check in on

the forecast. i think we are luckier than the folks in foxboro. >> we had a nice day today. we expected it to be cooler. the front was slow coming in. we got a bonus with mild temperatures. boston benefited from that as well. it is not quite as raw yet, but is coming. here is the radar. snow shower activity is coming off of the great lakes. we have clear skies here. something will catch up to us. right now in foxboro, 41 degrees. the forecasts have been calling for chilly temperatures for game time. the front was slow moving through. boston and providence benefited by holding off on the coldest temperatures. they have strong northwest wind. this evening, temperatures will be falling. temperatures will be dropping through the 30's and into the

20's by the end of the game. the west wind at 10 to 20. the wind chill will be down in the 20's at least and maybe into the teens eventually. for us, it was a mild day. it was warmer today than yesterday. it was not in the cards, but we will buy it. we are going to get much chillier over the next couple days. it is 47 right now at the airport. 56 in norfolk. it is in the twenties and teens to the northwest. the colder air will the children in over the next two days. it will be bone chilling by the time we're done. take a look at the weather systems. most of the storm track has been north of us for the past few days. the next system is coming in. here is the potential for social activity coming into our area tomorrow.

the last system brings in the coldest air. later this evening, it will look like this. most of the snow showers in the mountains. here is the disturbance that will come sweeping across our area tomorrow. the forecast overnight, we will be dropping into the 20's with increasing clouds. the wind will diminish. during the day tomorrow, 39 to 46 for the high. that is not bad for this time of year. it is close to what we would expect. we will be mostly cloudy. the best chance of snow showers will be later in the evening. we do not expect anything significant. most of that will be north of us. the futurecast shows this disturbance coming in about 5:00 in the afternoon sweeping across quickly, especially to the north, and then moving out of the picture. here is our 7-day forecast. 42 tomorrow. snow shower activity late in the day.
